Introducing our 14th and 15th September Auction Sales

It is with great delight that we can confirm to you all that this upcoming auction will be a mix of both in room at the venue bidding, internet bidding, phone bidding or bidding by proxy.

This is a two day auction so, on Day 1, Tuesday 14th September myself and the team will be back at our venue of The Grand Connaught Rooms conducting a live auction.  As buyers you will have the ability to access the auction and bid in whatever way you wish.  The second day of the sale on Wednesday 15th September will be an on-line sale only.

So, on Tuesday 14th September you can come to the auction and experience the excitement of the auction room as we all did before the pandemic.  I can assure you that we have taken every measure possible over and above government guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all our guests and my team.  Seating will be in pairs, socially distanced, sanitiser stations and facemasks are readily available and there will be regular cleaning of touch points throughout the venue on the day.  We do ask that you play your part and most importantly, do not attend the venue if you or anyone in your family is suffering from Covid symptoms and of course, if you have been told to self-isolate you must not attend but of course, you can bid either by phone or via the internet provided you have pre-registered.

I really do encourage you to come and experience the auction at the venue, this is the best way for you to gauge other bids and get a real sense and flavour of the sale.  For many, this could be one of the biggest purchases you ever make so why not get the full experience by attending the auction yourself.

Of course, if you would prefer not to travel or can’t make it to the auction, you can still bid via the internet, by telephone or send us your proxy bid.  There is a strict deadline for registration which you must complete before Friday 10th September.

Day 2 of the sale is to be held the following day on Wednesday 15th September and lots offered on this day are mainly via our regional auction centres together with some ground rents that have to be offered on this day due to Landlord and Tenant act notices.  Day 2 will be an online auction with internet, telephone or proxy bidding only.

Regardless of how you access the auction to bid on Day 1, all bidders will have the same opportunity to bid and be treated in exactly the same way regardless of whether attending the sale or bidding remotely however, we cannot accept your bid and you won’t be able to bid remotely if you haven’t registered and of course, any technical glitch that drops out your internet connection or phone line will prevent you from bidding, something that can’t happen to those bidders attending the sale at the venue.

I can absolutely assure you that your attendance at the venue will be within an environment that is as safe as any can be.  On arrival you will receive a sanitised zip bag containing your personal bidders paddle, face mask, hand sanitiser and guidance notes of the auction and safety procedures.

After some 18 months of conducting our auctions behind my computer screen and keyboard I am really excited to welcome you back to a “real” auction and look forward to seeing you at The Grand Connaught Rooms on Tuesday 14th September.

In the lead up to the sale my team and those located around the country at our regional auction centres are here to help you with your enquiries so please give us a call or drop us an email and we will make sure that you are “auction ready “.  However you decide to access the sale and bid, I wish you the very best of luck with your bidding.
