Welcome to our 6th Auction of 2024

The first half of the year has been a busy one for us and whilst the weather may not be hotting up as we might expect, our sales certainly are.  Excluding this auction, we have already offered over 1,500 lots from our venue of The Grand Connaught Rooms and exchanged on sales at a value just topping £150 Million.  I don’t think those statistics reflect what some would say is a quiet or subdued market, in fact, comparing our sales success rate to the same period last year it is quite a few points up suggesting that underlying confidence is better than some commentators would have you believe. 

Of course, there are challenges and one of our main focuses is to help both Buyers and Sellers overcome these to enable them to Buy or Sell at our auction. There is a suite of service providers available through us so, if you are looking through this catalogue and thinking “I wish I could bid at the auction”, you probably can! In fact, consider this, for every person who thinks they can’t bid at the auction and doesn’t get themselves auction ready, that’s one less person you will have to compete against and you are one step closer to maybe bagging yourself a great deal!

All of this is here, together with my teams at all of our auction centres to assist you in the lead up to the sale, make sure your due diligence is fully completed before you bid and, enable you to buy lots from this catalogue on 30th July rather than just read through and wish you hadn’t missed a great opportunity. 

And on top of that, it’s a great time to buy.  I sincerely believe this is one of the best buying opportunities we have seen for a long time.  Several would-be buyers are still sitting on the fence waiting to see what might happen in the weeks and months after the recent election and others are simply waiting for a cut in interest rates.  Once all these would-be buyers engage in the buying process the market will once again see more buyers, more competition for property and on the assumption that supply remains broadly in line with current levels, the most basic of economics comes in to play and prices go up.  So, get in early, get auction ready now and secure your purchase before the inevitable happens!
